This study comprised the most rigorous and scientifically controlled study of the effects of meditation in Westerners ever undertaken. He is currently editing a book on the experience in collaboration with B. Alan Wallace, a former monk who was ordained by, and served as translator for, H.H. the Dalai Lama.
